Vinny Colucci

Presenter and award-winning photographer Vinny Colucci has been an active photographer since 1979 and a shooting professional since 1995. He has photographed North Carolina from the coast to the mountains, to the Everglades and westward into Arizona. Vinny is an avid outdoorsman and a member of Nikon's Professional Services and Wimberley Professional Services. He is represented by Picture Stock, with images appearing in Nature Photographer Magazine, Microwave Journal, and various other publications. He has presented at Grandfather Mountain, Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI), the City of Orlando, and Popular Photography Magazine.

Melissa Southern

An award-winning photographer and presenter, Melissa Southern has been a working professional since 2003 and has been shooting since childhood. She has photographed in Ireland, England, France, California, and Mexico as well as all over North Carolina and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Melissa is a member of Nikon Professional Services, Carolina Nature Photographers Association, and Wimberley Professional Services. Melissa has photographs in the Guide to the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, various product magazines, and several other publications. She works as the Forensic Photographer in Wake County, NC. Melissa also performs some graphic and web design, including this and her own website. She volunteers her time on the Board of Directors for the Cary Pulse in Cary, NC as well as donating her talent as their web designer. Melissa has a B.A. in Anthropology and an Associate Degree in Photography.

We also have several additional people who assist us at workshops. They are the ones holding everything together in the background. They also take many of the photographs of the groups in action, and therefore, we give them their credit.

Kyle McComb has assisted us in several workshops. She was and will continue to be a valuable member of our team.
